The RDU is a cab-mount USB thumb drive interface for the CRM Locomotive Event Acquisition Recorders. In cases where event recorder applications do not require crash-hardened memory, the RDU brings the ease of walk-up automated USB stick access to CRM LEARs that may ordinarily be installed in a location on the locomotive that is difficult to access.

CRM always focuses on the consumer which is why we have made the RDU easy to use. Powered by any 74VDC locomotive source, the RDU connects to the LEAR with a single AAR standard M12 Ethernet cable.
